Dr. Margaret Richards grew up in the Chicago suburbs and completed her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She then went on to earn her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at University of California, Davis, where she became interested in emergency medicine. After graduation, she completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital. During her internship she fell in love with Colorado and decided to stay on full time in the Denver area. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, attending concerts, and spending time with her dog, Willow.
