Dr. Maggie Bland is originally from the Chicago suburbs. She felt drawn to the career path as a veterinarian at a young age because of the connection and friendship she had with her family dog, a chocolate Lab named Belle. Dr. Bland completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 2018. She had a strong interest and passion in emergency medicine so following graduation she moved to Seattle Washington to complete a one-year rotating internship at Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle.
Although she misses Chicago food, once she experienced the beauty of the Cascade Mountains she knew she could not move back to the midwest. Instead, she decided to move to Colorado where she could be closer to friends and family and still be surrounded by mountains. Dr. Bland is passionate about high quality, personalized emergency medicine and is excited to be apart of the team at AESC.
In her free time, Dr. Bland enjoys exploring the Rocky Mountains, experiencing the Denver music scene, and relaxing with her adorable cats, Louie and Sassafras.
