Dr. Kate Hovious grew up in Louisville, KY. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University in 2017 and is a 2022 graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation, she worked as an ER doctor in Louisville, KY. In 2023-2024 she completed a 1-year rotating internship at VCA Alameda East in Denver Colorado.
Her favorite part about emergency medicine is being on the frontline of addressing a problem and taking care of pets and their people during times of crisis. When she is not practicing veterinary medicine Kate enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, eating, and spending time with friends, family, and her dog Soco and cat Carl."
