Dr. Amelia Andersen grew-up in northern Virginia. She attended undergrad at University of Colorado - Boulder where she earned a degree in Psychology. It was during this time that she found a love for working with animals, and in everything Colorado had to offer. She worked as a veterinary assistant in Golden, then attended veterinary school at the University of Minnesota. Afterwards, she did a one-year small animal rotating internship at a private emergency and specialty hospital in Los Angeles, California. She has worked in emergency medicine since then at hospitals in California and Virginia before making her way back to Colorado.
Dr. Andersen is very excited to finally be back in Colorado! In her free time she enjoys attending music concert venues, snowboarding, cooking, and spending time with her friends, family, dog Sadie, and two cats Rumpkin and Crouton.
