Dr. Anstaett earned her BA in biology from the University of Kansas in 2001, then her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She worked in general practice for over 6 years before turning her attention to emergency medicine. She joined the AESC emergency team full time in January 2012. Her interest in complementary ways to improve patient health and comfort, beyond medication and surgery, led her to pursue certification in veterinary medical acupuncture. She achieved this certification in 2013.
Dr. Anstaett enjoys running, hiking, and skiing with her husband and two daughters. Her four legged crew includes a large shepherd mix named Angie, a lab mix named Phog, a chihuahua named Peso who was found as stray, and a cat named Reece.
