We offer around-the-clock emergency care for pets experiencing health issues that require immediate attention. Emergencies can be scary and confusing, and they all too often occur suddenly during times when your family veterinarian is unavailable.
It is because of those situations that we started our 24-hour service. Our emergency team is staffed by experienced doctors and technical staff trained in addressing conditions once thought to be incurable, and led by board-certified criticalists who specialize in the most severe illnesses and injuries. Our advanced, on-site diagnostic and treatment equipment is ready at a moment’s notice for fast, effective diagnoses. We’re always available to support you and your pet when you need us most.
24/7 Emergency Surgery: We have a board-certified surgeon available around-the-clock for emergency surgery.
Intensive Care Treatment: For hospitalized pets with severe multisystem illnesses, injuries, post surgical needs and more, our experienced emergency veterinarians and support staff are available 24/7.
Diagnostics & Advanced Imaging: Our on-site digital X-ray equipment provides high-quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of many disorders. Routine and emergency ultrasound services are also available 24-hours a day. Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We use various laboratories across the nation for specialized diagnostics and consultations, and are also able to consult with board-certified specialists regarding any outsourced lab work.
Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals to meet the needs of your pet. We stock many specialized therapeutic agents such as fresh frozen plasma, packed red blood cells, 4-methylpyrazole and N-acetylcysteine.
Blood Products: We receive blood products from a national blood bank. We always have on-site access to various canine and feline blood products.
Sometimes it can be difficult to determine what’s an immediate emergency, what can wait until an appointment with your family veterinarian and what’s normal cat or dog behavior. Any of the below symptoms suggest a medical emergency requiring your pet to be seen immediately.
When faced with a veterinary emergency, call ahead to the office with the animal’s breed, approximate size, age, present symptoms and any other health problems. While on the phone, confirm the exact location of the hospital.
