Animal Emergency & Specialty Care

Katie Osekavage, DVM, DACVECC

Dr. Katie Osekavage is a Colorado native who grew up in Boulder County. As a child she was an avid horseback rider, and her time spent at the barn was the catalyst for a career in veterinary medicine. Dr. Osekavage attended Colorado State University for both undergraduate and veterinary school, earning her veterinary degree in 2014. From there, she traveled to Philadelphia, PA for a small animal rotating internship at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a 3-year residency in small animal emergency and critical care at the University of Georgia. Of course, there is no place like Colorado, and she was eager to get back to her roots and begin her career at AESC in 2018. As of November 2018, Dr. Osekavage is board-certified in critical care.
Dr. Osekavage‘s professional interests include trauma, coagulopathies, post-operative care, and transfusion medicine. She strives for a strong pet parent-doctor relationship to provide compassion and understanding as well as a high level of patient care. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, running, and horseback riding. She comes with an adorable corgi mix dog named Casey.
