Megan MacPhail, DVM
Dr. MacPhail was born in Taos, NM, but grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. She earned her BS in integrative biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2005, and earned her doctor of veterinary medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin- Madison in 2010. She then moved to Orlando, FL to complete a small animal internship at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists where she trained in all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery. She stayed at AVS an additional year to complete a small animal surgery internship where she focused on soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries. She then worked in general practice in Florida for two years before moving to Santa Fe, NM to work at an emergency hospital. She fell in love with emergency medicine, but the desire to live in a larger city and work in a specialty hospital again brought her to Denver. She began working at AESC in May 2015.
Off duty, Dr. MacPhail enjoys photography, hiking, and traveling. She enjoys spending time with her husband, as well as their two dogs and two cats.
